The client and what we did for them
Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen University Hospital) needed to digitalise three of its core blood donation processes: appointment scheduling, donor registration, and the transfer of donation data into its IT systems. The project was funded by Fonden for Velfærdsteknologi (formerly ABT-Fonden).
Our Approach
Symmetric’s role covered the full lifecycle of the change: qualifying the application and mapping the potential in the existing workflow, then digitalising self-booking, arrival registration and donation data entry. Impact was measured against a baseline study taken before the change, with a follow-up study at project completion, so results could be evaluated on real data rather than assumption.
Outcome
The project delivered working digital self-booking, donor registration and automated data transfer into Rigshospitalet’s IT systems, with a final report capturing results and lessons learned for the funder.
